All Official Calls for #Cultures 2027 Are Now Available

The organising institutions of #Cultures 2027 - International Online Congress of Studies on Cultures are pleased to announce that all official calls and participation pathways are now available through a single central page.
The new Official Calls page brings together the General Call, the Call for Submissions, the Call for Thematic Axis Partnerships, the Call for Institutional Partners and information for participants who wish to attend the congress without submitting a contribution.
#Cultures 2027 will take place entirely online from 6 to 9 April 2027, bringing together researchers, students, educators, artists, cultural professionals, institutions and academic networks from different countries.
Official Calls and Participation Pathways:
- General Call: Overview of all opportunities, submission formats, evaluation procedures, publication pathways and key deadlines.
- Call for Submissions: For participants who wish to submit, present and publish a scientific, artistic, pedagogical or professional contribution.
- Thematic Axis Partnerships: For researchers and academic collectives interested in joining a Scientific Committee and proposing a congress activity.
- Institutional Partnerships: For universities, graduate programmes, research centres, academic networks, associations and cultural institutions.
- Attendee Registration: For participants who wish to follow the online programme without submitting or co-authoring a work.
General Call
The General Call provides a complete overview of the congress and its participation opportunities. It includes information about submission categories, accepted formats, thematic axes, registration, evaluation, publication possibilities, partnerships and key dates.
The document is available in English, Spanish and Portuguese, allowing participants and partner institutions to consult the main congress guidelines in different languages.
Call for Submissions
Researchers, students, educators, artists, curators, cultural managers, professionals and cultural agents may submit contributions to one of the eight thematic axes of #Cultures 2027.
The congress accepts seven submission formats:
- Scientific Research.
- Experience Report.
- Cultural Practice.
- Critical Essay.
- Pedagogical Letter.
- Artistic Creation.
- Performance or Intervention.
Fully validated submissions will undergo continuous open peer review. Contributions that are accepted, presented and approved for publication may be included in the digital congress proceedings with an individual DOI.
Submission Schedule:
- Submissions open: 15 July 2026
- Final submission deadline: 28 February 2027
- Final review period: 1-15 March 2027
- Final results: 16 March 2027
Call for Thematic Axis Partnerships
Researchers, research groups, laboratories, graduate programmes and academic networks may apply to collaborate in the scientific development of one of the eight thematic axes.
Approved partners will join the corresponding Scientific Committee and propose an academic activity for possible inclusion in the congress programme.
Thematic Axis Partnership Schedule:
- Applications open: 15 July 2026
- First application round: Proposals submitted by 31 August 2026
- Final application deadline: 30 September 2026
- Final results: By 21 October 2026
Call for Institutional Partners
Universities, graduate programmes, research centres, scientific associations, academic networks, cultural organisations and other eligible institutions may establish a formal, non-financial partnership with #Cultures 2027.
Approved institutions may receive official recognition, visibility in congress materials, integration into the international network and access to registration benefits for eligible affiliates.
Institutional Partnership Schedule:
- Applications open: 15 July 2026
- Early visibility deadline: 30 September 2026
- Final application deadline: 31 January 2027
- Second institutional visibility cycle: February 2027
Participation without submission
Participants who do not wish to submit or co-author a contribution may register as attendees and follow the complete online programme.
Attendee registration provides access to conferences, panels, thematic sessions and cultural activities. Eligible participants may receive a 40-hour participation certificate, subject to the applicable attendance and certification requirements.
Attendee Participation:
- Early Bird deadline: 30 September 2026
- Regular registration deadline: 31 January 2027
- Final attendee registration deadline: 5 April 2027
- Congress: 6-9 April 2027
